Aims and likely Cross Border benefits of the project:

To increase the contribution art can make to the rural economy by providing local artists from both areas with residential workshops with professional tutors and the opportunity to exhibit their work produced over the weekends at 2 weeklong exhibitions, one in each county.

Project Objectives:

• To provide an opportunity for artists to practise their art in a creative environment
• To provide access to professional tutors for artists living in an area of social and economic need
• To increase the contribution that art can make to the rural economy by providing an opportunity for artists to exhibit their work
• To increase visitors at both centres
• To promote cross border links between the two communities

• To provide networking opportunities between both communities
