Back to Back - Improving Access for All
Aims and likely Cross Border benefits of the project:This project aims to remove barriers to disabled people participating in angling through the construction of a jetty on Gartan lake and improved walkways and riverside facilities on the Dennet river. This will provide access to the water for anglers with mobility limitations.
The clubs will then work together to promote the new facilities available at their waterways. This will result in an increased possibility for tourism, specifically including people with disabilities.
Project Objectives:
To improve disabled access to the angling sites on Gartan lake and the Dennet river
- To create cross border links between Churchill anglers and Dennet anglers.
- To increase tourism in the areas through the enhancement of facilities available
- To increase the contribution that natural resources can make to the rural economy by making them accessible to a wider range of people.
